We are seeking a dedicated Temporary Accommodation Officer (SO2) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing and facilitating temporary accommodation solutions for individuals and families facing housing crises.
This position requires not only a robust understanding of housing regulations and policies but also a compassionate approach towards individuals in challenging situations. You will be responsible for assessing applicants' needs and determining suitable housing options within available resources.
Collaboration with local authorities, housing associations, and support services will be essential to ensure seamless service delivery. Your daily responsibilities will encompass administrative tasks, case management, and liaising effectively to promote best practices in securing temporary placements.

Responsibilities
Assess accommodation applications and eligibility for temporary housing.
Coordinate with relevant agencies to secure temporary accommodation placements.
Conduct home visits and assessments to evaluate housing needs and conditions.
Maintain accurate records of cases, updating information as required.
Provide information and support to individuals and families regarding available accommodation options.
Develop and maintain partnerships with housing associations and local services.

Monitor and review cases to ensure timely resolutions and effective support.

Requirements
Qualification in social work, housing management, or related field.
Experience in housing services, case management, or social support.
Strong understanding of housing laws, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.

Strong organizational skills with proficiency in managing multiple cases.

Hours Per Week: 35.00

Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Rate: £153.44

Location: Lambeth, South East London
