Todmorden High School is excited to be able to offer the opportunity for a Teacher of Science within our wonderful school. As a school we operate an innovative and evidence led approach to learning with modelling and direct instruction at the heart of our teaching.Both combined science and separate award science are taught from the Edexcel specifications. We are looking for a teacher of science to work collaboratively with our talented science team to build on the success the science team have already seen.
The successful candidate will:
- have excellent scientific knowledge in their specialist field, though we offer support and training where needed
- be an excellent classroom practitioner
- champion our values of Ambition, Respect, Care and Honesty
- have a mindset for growth, subject knowledge development and iterative improvement
We have a strong CPD programme and there are often chances for staff to progress their careers and develop. This has been enhanced with recent support from Share MAT (who are the Teaching School Hub for Calderdale and Kirklees).

We are a small and friendly comprehensive school for 11 to 16-year-olds with 900 pupils located in the beautiful Todmorden valley.
