This role has the following expectations: To provide a high-quality specialist support to professionals, parents and carers supporting children and young people who have experienced sexual harm. To provide consultation and support to team members across Childrens Social Care, and Wiltshire and Swindon CAMHS who deliver assessments, care and interventions to children and young people who have experienced sexual harm.
To provide training to a range of staff in Childrens social care and BSW CAMHS colleagues To attend strategy and multi-agency meetings for young people identified open to the BSW In- Reach team to contribute to the multi-agency planning and response.
To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures. To utilise research skills for audit and contribute to research and training within the areas served by the teams and service.
To be involved in the development of this service as appropriate. In BSW we are strongly committed to staff development and progression. We have recently launched a comprehensive CAMHS specific training strategy for all staff at all levels. Our training programme includes numerous CAMHS specific trainings that are directly relevant to roles as well as external trainings funded through HEE.
If successful the applicant could be considered for one of our external training offers in DBT, MBT or VIG and we will offer ongoing supervision for these interventions. Our training strategy also highlights development and progression opportunities for staff as we are keen to grow and develop our workforce for the future.
Managers work closely with staff to ensure they have the right trainings to enable them to confidently and competently deliver high standard interventions to children, young people and their families. In BSW we understand the importance of professional identity.
