Teaching Assistant
Academic Appointments are working with a Secondary school in Sheffield who are currently searching for full-time Teaching Assistant to work as part of a dedicated and resourceful KS3 and KS4 classes.
Successful candidates will find themselves in a welcoming and positive environment with enthusiastic and creative teaching staff who are supported by a strong senior leadership team, all delivering in classrooms focused on maintaining a engaging atmosphere for children and practitioners alike.
Requirements:
To be considered for the teaching assistant position, you will:
Hold a recognised teaching assistant qualification or equivalent experience in Secondary schoolsWorking knowledge of Safeguarding policy is highly desirable.
Have experience working in a Secondary school setting.
Have knowledge of the National Curriculum and maintaining records
Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
2 x references (including your last employer)
Key responsibilities:
Support groups of children with their learning under the guidance of a teacherSupport individual children needing additional support
Provide supervisory cover in the Teachers absence

Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience, and payroll method.
