What skills and experience we're looking for

Paignton Academy is looking to appoint a Behavioural Therapist who would be willing to undertake formal training to become a fully licensed practitioner. The successful candidate will plan, prepare and deliver lessons and activities for individuals/groups of students who are experiencing emotional, health and behavioural difficulties.

This will include monitoring, assessing, recording and reporting on student achievement, progress and development.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be tolerant, resilient and flexible with a capacity to work under pressure. They will be well organised, have good time management skills, an excellent telephone manner and a ‘can do approach’.

The successful applicant will have proven experience of working with children or young people and will be able to demonstrate commitment and expertise in improving educational and social outcomes for them. You will be enthusiastic, empathetic, patient and approachable, with a genuine commitment to supporting children’s learning.
