Assistant Accountant
This is a fully office-based position ideal for someone who thrives on variety, has excellent attention to detail, and is confident managing end-to-end finance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing transactional processing across bank, supplier and staff accounts using XeroSupporting purchase ledger activity: reviewing invoice coding, assisting with invoice uploads, and ensuring accurate reconciliation of transactionsPerforming regular reconciliations across credit cards, supplier accounts, and banking transactionsReviewing and posting payroll data processed via an external provider and ensuring it is accurately reflected in the accountsReviewing external reports and aligning financial records accordingly on a weekly and monthly basisActing as a point of contact for operational teams Supporting the preparation of month-end schedules, journals and reporting packs for managementWorking with the Group Financial Controller to ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and compliant
About You:
Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance roleExperience using Xero is highly beneficialStrong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesProficient in MS Excel and comfortable working with financial systems and approval platformsExcellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
