HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

Integral to the department’s structure, the role of the Deputy Director includes oversight, coordination and support to ensure the department’s projects, deliverables and services provided to the Richemont Group & Maisons is coherent, timely and valuable.

Within this role, the Deputy Director will be responsible for accompanying the Director in providing both strategic and operational image and communications work, analysis and recommendations – while effectively managing the team and their respective responsibilities.

Serving as the lead on particular topics within the department structure, this role will work at both HQ and local market level, assisting and providing guidance and reference to each Maison with both their long- and short-term communications needs and strategies based on the topics the department manages for the Group.

The Deputy Director will work together with the team to complete the tasks and projects at hand, driven by both requests incoming from the Group & the Maisons, directives from the Director, as well as areas of improvement and further development – constantly overseeing the workflow to verify that the support service provided to the various stakeholders is accurate, impactful and relevant.

In addition, the Deputy Director will also be responsible for managing the team of managers and strategists as per the organizational structure, while closely liaising with the Executive Assistant and Entertainment & Partnerships Strategy Advisor on specific projects.

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
  • Long-standing professional communications experience (including functional leadership positions)
  • English (native)- spoken & written, French - spoken & written
  • Stakeholder relations management & ability to work with external high-level audiences
  • Develop unique ideas that can be used to address business issues and improve the organization
  • Make personal decisions that impact the ability to drive organizational success
  • Writing skills that allow business communications and external releases
  • Work well under pressure, with highest discretion required when dealing with sensitive or confidential matters
  • Understand the role in building and delivering short- and long-term results to the business
  • Seek out perspectives from multiple sources and identifies opportunities to use them. Leverage internal insights and external best practices to promote leading edge thinking
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams and collaboration with marketing teams
  • Drive vision, creativity and strategic thinking whilst being relentlessly delivery focused
  • Ability to analyse complex business issues, manage divergent stakeholders and bring together multiple concepts across functions to define the long-term communications and sustainability strategy for the business
  • Experience of working internationally or in multicultural teams is advantageous
  • Luxury experience is key, allowing positioning fine tuning and relevant market share understanding
  • Line management experience, leading a team, budget management
