Job Description

Glasgow Life is looking for a 3 Clerical Assistants to join us on a full-time basis. As Clerical Assistant you will be joining our in-demand Business Support Administration Team. You will be part of a dedicated team which supports service delivery across Glasgow Life.

As a Clerical Assistant you will be joining one of our Admin Hubs that provides support to Glasgow Life Services. The admin teams undertake a wide range of roles to keep Glasgow Life operating smoothly as a first-rate charity. From creating compelling messages about the work we do to providing insights which help shape strategies.

They also oversee the operation of over 100 venues across the city, account for millions of pounds, support our staff, and bring income into the charity through our shops.

The role

As a Clerical Assistant you’ll be an integral part of the team, supporting service delivery for the Corporate Services, Museums or Library & Community teams across Glasgow Life. Reporting to the Administration Officer and working alongside members of an established Admin Team.

The candidate
If you’re interested in joining us as a Clerical Assistant, you’ll need:
  • Previous clerical experience, trained in the use of Microsoft Packages including Word, Excel, and Outlook (Essential)
  • Good communication, literacy, and numeracy skills (Essential)
  • Ability to relate to customer queries with a good telephone manner (Essential)
  • Shows enthusiasm and positive attitude (Essential)
  • Experience with the use of systems such as Pecos, Galaxy, Lagan and Gladstone software (Desirable)

Some of our roles are currently piloting hybrid working, with teams working between the office and home. Your line manager may be able to agree days with you depending on the needs of the service. This balance enables you to continue much-needed collaborative working.

Roles require working 35hr per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
