An exciting fixed term/secondment opportunity has arisen within the Transformation Team for a Band 5 Project Support Manager.

You will assist and support a number of development and evaluation transformation projects across the Trust, and North Staffordshire aligned to the overarching Inpatient Quality Transformation Programme.

£29,970 - £36,483 per annum pro rata, part time 22.5 hours per week.

You will be based in the Transformation team, but will work closely with the R&D Lead in the R&D team to develop, undertake, and write up evaluations.

Main duties of the job

The Project Support Manager will take on a vital role in supporting evaluation projects across North Staffordshire. This will entail supporting projects across the region, arranging and coordinating interviews, data collection, report writing, and communication with various organisations.

This role will take responsibility for data collection reports and interviews including responding to evaluation requirements, working on several evaluation methods.

This post will demand high levels of organisational skills, excellent time management, and the confidence to take responsibility for tasks and projects associated with this service. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal will be essential.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

This is an exciting role which will provide increased support for evaluation and development activity. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to (full Job Description and Person Specification available):

  • Supporting the development of a robust evaluation plan, including the preparation of literature, data scoping, and benchmarking;
  • Ensure active engagement and ownership of key stakeholders in each task or project;
  • Ensure appropriate data collection systems are in place to facilitate the analysis, interpretation, and presentation of information relevant to the project – completing progress reports as required;
  • Establish and agree on SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time bound) objectives with the Project and R&D Lead order to ensure first time, on-time delivery of projects;
  • Be responsible for the day to day planning and delivery of evaluation tasks under the supervision of the R&D Lead;
  • Identify, involve, and incorporate the feedback and views and needs of clients, the public, and stakeholders, where appropriate, in all stages of each project

Essential criteria
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent project management experience
Desirable criteria
  • Post graduate education or equivalent experience in an area relevant to project management
