Job overview
Neurology have an amazing opportunity to seek a Medical Secretary Support to work closely with our dynamic Neurology Secretarial team in supporting our Neurology Consultants across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch.
The successful candidate will need to be dynamic, confident, enthusiastic and enjoy working as part of a team.
You will be required to have demonstrable typing skills, be confident with good attention to detail and have great interpersonal skills, as you will be required to work with varied levels of hospital staff across the Neurology Services.
Full training will be given.
All successful applicants will be required to undertake typing testing prior to interview.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- RSA II or equivalent touch typing/computer skills
- Minimum 6 GCSE’s including English
- NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or relevant experience.
- Computer qualification
Experience
Essential criteria- Secretarial experience
- Working with people at all levels
- Experience of working at UHD in a similar role
- NHS medical secretary experience
Technical Skills Competencies
Essential criteria- Computer literate with word processing experience.
- Data accuracy on computer systems
- Audio typing
- Experience of Hospital systems: Camis/ EPR
Knowledge
Essential criteria- Understanding of secretarial procedures
- Understanding of Microsoft Word
- Understanding of data protection
