IT Technician Vacancy – Starting November 2024

Are you passionate about technology and looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic school environment? We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our team in Blackpool. As an IT Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school’s technology infrastructure, supporting both staff and students in their digital needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day technical support to staff and students.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across the school’s network.
  • Maintain and update IT equipment, including computers, printers, and interactive whiteboards.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of school software and systems.
  • Support the integration of new technologies into the school environment.
  • Work closely with the IT Manager to ensure system security and data protection.
  • Provide basic training and support for staff in the use of technology.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an IT Technician or support role.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Office 365, and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to working within an educational environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.
  • Relevant IT qualifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
