About the team

We have an exciting opportunity looking for a Buying Assistant on Branded Menswear. You’ll report directly into the Junior Buyer for the area, so lots of opportunity to further develop your skills.

The role will be working within our high performing Branded team split between Liverpool and London. This role is based in our Head Office in Speke, Liverpool.

Our Buying team here at Very have some of the best minds in fashion and retail and are leading the way in finding the next trends and products.

About the role

Day to day you will manage the department critical path and work with leading global brands, whilst undertaking administrative support for the buying function.

We’re looking for a Buying Assistant or Buyers Admin Assistant with previous buying experience or who has transferable skills in a relevant profession and can demonstrate a strong understanding and passion for buying.

The skills and behaviours imperative to being a successful Buying Assistant here at The Very Group are; commercial awareness, ability to build relationships, strong communication skills, initiative, problem solving, interpreting data and you must have excellent attention to detail.

About you

Previous experience in Buying as a buying assistant or buyers admin assistant is beneficial but not essential:

  • A passion for Menswear fashion
  • Ability to understand the customer
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload
  • A great attitude and willingness to learn
  • Proficient in Excel

2nd Stage – A one-hour formal interview where you can expect both competency and technical questions. This can be held either in-person or remotely.
