Lincolnshire County Council's Pupil Reintegration team have an exciting opportunity to join their dedicated team of Caseworkers to cover a period of Maternity Leave within the Lincoln South and surrounding area.
About the Role
The pupil reintegration team are a service to support schools and children that are experiencing challenging behaviour and emotional based school avoidance (EBSA). We promote the inclusion of vulnerable young people and help to reduce isolation and exclusion from school.
We support head teachers, schools, parents and other agencies working with pupils who are at risk of permanent exclusion. We offer guidance for schools and governors, to look at best practice solutions regarding behaviour management. Caseworkers will encourage good practice through partnership working and reducing the incidences of disruptive behaviour and exclusions.We will support at pastoral support plan (PSP) meetings and subsequent meetings up to and following a permanent exclusion. We also offer training for governors around exclusions.
The successful candidate will work closely with schools and partners agencies across the area to deliver the Local Authority strategy. They will hold a portfolio of young people for whom they will support and encourage engagement with education.
Secondments will be considered for internal applicants. If employees wish to apply for a secondment they require their managers approval.

A skilled communicator, the role involves a lot of relationship building, influencing, negotiating and, the ability to deliver professional challenge when necessary.Good time management, working to tight deadlines and responding to high demand from schools necessitates regular travel around the county. We're a very busy team where no two days are always the same.
An understanding of the legislation in respect of exclusion from and admission to school and associated education legislation along with an awareness of local policies and procedures.
Resilience and tenacity is essential as, casework is frequently complex, emotive and challenging.
