Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant
Location: Chalk Farm, North London
Pay: £100 - £110 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: 08:30 - 16:00, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

An outstanding special educational needs school in Chalk Farm, North London, is seeking an outgoing and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work with a young boy in Year 7. You will be helping children on a 1:1 basis, supporting learners to access learning.Your focus will be to enable them to become independent and confident individuals by teaching them essential life skills and ways to communicate effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a young boy with Down Syndrome.
- Assist with personal care when necessary.
- Support learners in accessing the curriculum and developing independence.
- Foster positive relationships with students to enhance their learning experience.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with Down Syndrome.
- Willingness to assist with personal care tasks as needed.
- Strong experience in providing 1:1 support.
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
- Available to work 5 days a week.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds GCSEs with minimum Grade C/Level 4 or equivalent, including Maths and English Language.
- Has experience working with adults or children with learning or communication difficulties.
- Demonstrates honest, trustworthy, and ethical behaviour at all times.
- Possesses a strong desire to help others enjoy learning and develop independence.
