The Governors of St Stephen’s Kearsley Moor C E School are looking to appoint a School Business Manager with effect from 22nd April 2025.
Salary range and grade: Grade H scp 27-31 (£37,035 to £40,476 per annum FTE) 37 hrs per week (flexible working hours will be considered), Term Time + 5 days
Actual Salary: £31,713 to £34,659 per annum
This is an exciting opportunity for a hard-working, dedicated and professional person to join our happy and successful Church of England Primary School. In June 2023 the school was graded GOOD by Ofsted and had a successful SIAMS inspection in July 2024.
We need someone who: has a strong finance background with proven experience of managing budgets
has excellent leadership skills, a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt and prioritise while leading in a variety of areashas the ability to manage a wide range of stakeholder relationships
has experience of managing a team
will be able to exercise discretion and condentiality
is forward thinking, proactive and approachable
will work closely with the Head Teacher in supporting our vision and Christian ethos

Key areas of responsibility:
Finance We are a Bank Account School managing our own spending plan and budget. Therefore, securing financial sustainability in the medium to longer term is of paramount importance. This includes applying for and managing external bids and contracts e.g. grant applications and procurement.
Administration ensuring excellent Office procedures are in place and the delivery of statutory reporting to both internal and external stakeholders is within set timeframes.Personnel managing HR procedures and paperwork.
Premises collaborate with the Site Manager in maintaining and enhancing facilities and school buildings, including Health and Safety requirements/regulations and Risk Management. Work with Building Consultants and Manchester Diocese with regard to additional funding for buildings improvements.
Leadership line management of Administrative Assistant, Site Manager and School Meals Supervisory Assistants. Take a proactive part in the leadership of the school as part of the Leadership Team.
