Are you a skilled physiotherapist looking for a rewarding role in elderly care? Our Physiotherapy Service on the elderly wards is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, from managing acutely ill patients to ensuring smooth and effective discharge planning.
In this role, you'll play a crucial part in rehabilitation, helping patients regain independence before discharge or transfer to Intermediate Care.
We’re looking for someone with strong clinical skills in respiratory care, rehabilitation, and falls management to enhance patient outcomes and quality of life.
The core working hours are 08.00am to 16:00pm.

The successful candidate will join a well-established Inpatient Therapy Team at Watford General Hospital, dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based assessment and treatment to help patients reach their full potential.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to strengthen your clinical experience in Elderly Care by working alongside a Band 8a Care of the Elderly Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist and two Band 7 Physiotherapists.
You will play a key role in delivering patient care while also assisting in the supervision and appraisal of staff.
This position offers a supportive environment to further develop your clinical, leadership, and management skills.
With a new hospital planned for Watford and work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join us.

The department delivers 7-day working and this post would be included in that rota (frequency of 1:6 weekends) with rest days in the following week, along with a requirement to be on the Respiratory on call evening rota.
Staff are supported through in-service training and competency programmes.
There are also opportunities for course funding both externally and internally, through the department’s links with the University of Hertfordshire.
