Position: Full-Time Temporary Admin Officer
Contract: 6 months with the possibility of extending
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours (37 hours per week)

Hourly Rate: £11.59 per hour

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an organised, motivated Admin Assistant The successful applicant will provide administrative support to the Business Hub maintaining finance, performance and administrative systems within specified timescales for the establishment.

The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties:

  • Undertake a share of the transactional activity associated with the Business Hub. This will include processing most or all of the following categories of paperwork and inputting data ready for checking and onward transmission by the Hub Manager:
  • Performance Audit and Compliance
  • Finance (Stock taking/Prisoner monies, valuables/Receivables/Reconciling expenditure/Accruals/Outgoing pay/Inter-unit charges/Cashier)
  • Measuring the Quality of Prison Life (MQPL) o His Majesty's Inspectorate of Prisons (HMIP) visits o Subject access requests o Official Correspondence
  • Complaints, Risk Register
  • Independent Monitoring Board (IMB), Action Plans, Self-audit programme o Procuring goods and Vehicle maintenance
  • Personal Identity Number (PIN) Phone system
  • Ordering of staff uniform
  • Canteen administration including Quarterly Review
  • IT administration

Requirements:

  • Able to follow well established processes and detailed instructions.
  • Strong administrative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
