Assistant Operations Manager Estates and Facilities

We are entering an exciting time within the UST Central Estates and Facilities Team – As a smaller Multi Academy Trust with over 3500 pupils across 4 schools within 7 unique buildings, we recognise the depth of strategic and operational expertise required to align with the Department for Educations guidance on Good Estates Management and prepare for growth within the Academies Sector.
We are currently seeking to appoint an Assistant Operations Manager – Estates and Facilities to support the Trust Operations Manager – Estates and Facilities in providing operational support to our school leaders and in house FM Team as well as work strategically to assist in implementing the Estates Strategy for UST.
About the post
Working as part of the Central Office Estates Team, the role of our Assistant Operations Manager – Estates & Facilities is to provide strategic operational Facilities Management assistance of our 4 schools Based in Tower Hamlets and Greenwich.
You will be responsible for- Contributing to the overall Strategic Planning of the Trusts’ Facilities Operations and to provide support and assistance to our Facilities Teams within the schools
- Regular Liaison with our School Facilities Managers to establish and prioritise the current operational need.
- Assisting with the coordination and day to day management of the school Facilities and Estates Teams.
- Contributing to the health and safety and fire and Security of the trust
- Liaising with the external letting's contracts and catering managers across all schools in the Trust
About you
The successful candidate for the role of Assistant Operations Manager will have:
- Experience working within a diverse Facilities and Estates Environment
- Good knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety policy and practices preferably in an educational environment
- Knowledge of contract administration
- Ability to procure contract services, evaluate performance and negotiate solutions with supplier
- Ability to form good working relationships both within the Trust and with external bodies and suppliers
