This post is Fixed term/Secondment for 1 month to meet the needs of the service.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacy technician to work within our friendly team.
Our dispensary is a recognised training department for pre-registration pharmacy technicians and trainee pharmacists. We have regular cohorts training within the department as well as in house training that is undertaken. This role will suit a candidate with good communication skills, training experience and mentorship skills.Approved clinical supervisor qualification would be desirable.

Main duties of the job
Applicants must be able to demonstrate competency in final accuracy checking and be willing to update this competency if it is not current or has been gained in another establishment.
The successful applicant will be expected to undertake accreditation in the All Wales Programme for Medicines Management once they have gained suitable experience within the department.
The post covers a wide range of medicines management roles including: medicines reconciliation on admission wards, assessment of medication prior to surgery in pre-admission clinic, Pharmacy Technician ward teams and support to the dispensary.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services with Btec National Certificate in Pharmacy Services or equivalent
- WCPPE National Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician Qualification
- Membership of relevant professional association
Experience
Essential criteria- Working in hospital pharmacy dispensary services
- Must be able to demonstrate suitable level of experience.
- General dispensing
- Experience of patient-orientated medicines systems
Aptitude and ability
Essential criteria- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to use Pharmacy systems and produce reports
- Evidence of good documentation skills
- Ability to manage own workload
