Residential Therapeutic Worker Rehabilitation Drugs and Alcohol - Derby
This service is brand new, opening Winter 2022, featuring on-site staff bedrooms with en-suite, a gym, and parking. The Role Your role in our therapeutic community will be key. Youll manage a caseload, assess the people who use our service, and manage their care plans.
You will develop and apply a range of therapeutic approaches to meet their individual needs, whether thats employment, education, health, or social interaction. Youll coordinate everything from referral to discharge. As a Therapeutic Worker, you will support individuals accessing the residential rehabilitation programme to achieve outcomes that foster long-term recovery.
Using the Therapeutic Community "community as method" model, you will empower individuals, families, and communities to be confident about recovery. You will support the daily operation of the therapeutic community, ensuring service users needs are met and providing high-quality care in an environment promoting recovery, aligned with a recovery-oriented system and quality principles.
You will manage a caseload, providing end-to-end care coordination from admission to discharge, ensuring care plans meet the needs of service users and stakeholders. You will also deliver therapeutic groups, activities, and specialized interventions in accordance with the TC manual and service needs.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential. Support Workers come from diverse backgrounds, and you may have the skills required. We seek dedicated individuals who share our values, are willing to learn, and have the compassion to deliver the best service possible.
This is a full-time role, averaging 37.5 hours per week, working on a 4-week rolling rota including evenings, nights, and weekends. About You An understanding of complex issues faced by individuals in drug and alcohol recovery. Experience working with families and individuals in the substance use sector or related fields.
The ability to be innovative and flexible to meet service needs. Ability to work effectively with multi-agencies while maintaining the services reputation. Knowledge of adult and child protection and safeguarding, as you will work with vulnerable families in a residential setting.
