magic42 is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Web | Software Developer to join our in-house development team as we continue to grow. We aim to heavily invest in our next generation of developers and seek individuals that are natural problem solvers, good team players and are ready to work hard and make an impact!
As our Graduate Web | Software Developer YOU will:
- Work as an integral part of our development team to design robust and efficient software and web applications
- Be involved in the full cycle of planning, developing and testing web applications
- Work on exciting projects, fixing software bugs and developing new features
- Be mentored and coached by experienced developers and supported by the wider team
- Have dedicated and scheduled learning time and one to one training sessions every week so you can develop your skills
- Undertake and fully commit to learning, be that through our SMART learning plans, technical induction process or other initiatives

- PHP, Laravel, LAMP
- JavaScript, AlpineJS, Tailwind CSS
- eCommerce Platforms: Magento / Adobe Commerce, Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress

- Asana, Notion, Miro, Parabol
We currently work hybrid - remote and we are trusted members of a supportive and collaborative team. We are empowered to take responsibility and demonstrate accountability while learning and building experience and skills.
As a team we work collaboratively and have regular meetups every week. These include team collaboration days, work and tech hacks and social outings. We're tech savvy and our digital tool and platform suite helps us to seemingly connect and communicate.

Requirements
About our Graduate Web | Software Developer- You have a passion for IT, tech, web and software
- You have solid educational and hands on practical experience using Object Oriented programming
- You are highly proficient in any OO programming language: PHP, Java, C# or similar and have keen interest in cross training
- You are able to work at command line in a Linux environment with open source technologies
- You are recent graduate (or graduating this year) with a degree in an IT related subject (Computer Science, Software Development, etc)
- You have an analytical mindset with solid problem-solving skills
- You will have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- You will be familiar and use AI tools in your daily coding work
- You will have positive can-do attitude, as well as the motivation to work hard and build upon your current skillset
As there will be remote working in this role, our new Graduate Web | Software Developer will need to have the ability to keep organised and on-track.
