Job Description- Coordinate transportation tasks, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
- Act as a liaison between drivers and clients, managing communication effectively.
- Develop contingency plans for unforeseen changes.
- Daily control of drivers, acting as main point of contact.
- Plan and coordinate daily transport schedules.
- Process vendor invoices.
- Maintain reports and records of activities.
- Respond to any transportation-related issues or complaints, ensuring resolution and maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Monitor transportation costs and implement cost-saving strategies where possible.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of transport activities.
- Coordinate with the Secretarial & Business Support department to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in regular team meetings, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Temporary Transport Coordinator should have:
- Relevant academic qualifications in business, logistics, or related field.
- Proven background in a similar role within the Leisure, Travel & Tourism or Transport industry.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- A customer-focused approach, with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in using relevant software for record keeping and scheduling.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office.
- Ability to commute to Manchester.
- Clear Enhanced DBS.
