EIT Oxford is investing significant resources in a new world-class research and development facility in the Oxford Science Park. Set for completion in 2027, the state-of-the-art campus includes 300,000 sq ft of research laboratories, an oncology and preventative care clinic, and educational and meeting spaces.Together, they create the perfect environment for EIT Oxford experts to take ground-breaking ideas from research to broad implementation. The new facility will further EIT’s current partnership with the University of Oxford and become the new home for Ellison Scholars.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially astute Management Accountant with experience in the real estate and construction sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic financial oversight, leading financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for real estate and construction projects.You will ensure effective cost control and cash flow management, playing a key role in maintaining financial stability. Acting as a key liaison between finance and real estate teams, you will facilitate clear communication and alignment on financial objectives.
Additionally, the role involves overseeing regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and internal controls while supporting successful audits. The candidate will also be expected to drive continuous improvements in financial processes and systems, enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary for real estate and construction projects.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with project timelines and financial objectives.
- Cost Management: Monitor project costs, identify variances, and recommend cost-saving measures. Ensure all costs are accurately recorded and reported.
- Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow forecasting and management to ensure liquidity for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Project Support: Collaborate with project managers to provide financial support, including performance tracking and financial advice to optimize project outcomes.
- Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls. Prepare for and manage external audits.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, and financial institutions, providing clear and concise financial information.
- System Improvements: Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and reporting to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
Essential Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Management Accountantwithin the real estate or construction industry is essential (please note we cannot progress further with candidates that do not have experience as a Management Accountant within these industries)
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification preferred.
- Proficiency in financial reporting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
Desirable Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience with Oracle Fusion systems.

- You must have the right to work permanently in the UK with a willingness to travel as necessary.
- You will live in, or within easy commuting distance of Oxford.
- During peak periods, some longer hours may be required and some working across multiple time zones due to the global nature of the programme.
