About the Role We are seeking a skilled and proactive Engineer/Technician to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-performance operation of our production equipment. As part of the engineering team, you will support the production department by providing timely, high-quality services, maintaining machinery, and contributing to continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure all equipment is safe, serviceable, and performing to the highest standards.Minimize engineering downtime and respond promptly to machine failures and breakdowns.
Undertake projects and assist with on-site installations.
Maintain clear and effective communication with management and colleagues.
Develop and improve planned maintenance schedules.
Prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively within the engineering department.
Identify and address training needs or areas for improvement within the department.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills:
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.Time-served apprenticeship-trained engineer.
NVQ3 / ONC / HNC qualified in a relevant field.
Experience in an FMCG environment.
Electrical Expertise:
At least 5 years of electrical maintenance engineering experience.Fault-finding on three-phase control circuits.
Experience with control systems required and PLCs preferred.

Key Performance Indicators:
Reduction of mechanical and electrical downtime per machine.Timely and professional completion of maintenance tasks.
Successful investigation and resolution of maintenance issues.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
Comply with workplace health and safety policies and procedures.Actively participate in health and safety activities.
Identify and report risks, accidents, incidents, injuries, and property damage.
