With established offices in Gateshead and Fleet, they are expanding to Birmingham, strengthening their ability to serve public and private sector clients, including major UK developers.
Our client is seeking an experienced Principal Transport Planner to join their Birmingham team. Main Duties:
- Prepare Transport Assessments, Statements, and Travel Plans
- Conduct junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and authorities
- Ensure timely and budget-compliant task delivery
- Oversee junior team members and check their work quality
- Support team leaders with Highways & Transport advice
- Undertake site appraisals, surveys, and reports
- Assist with project file management and other related tasks
- Play an active role in growing the Birmingham office
Requirements:
- Degree in Transport Planning, Geography, or Civil Engineering
- 6+ years of experience in UK Transport Planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG
- AutoCAD experience (desirable)
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Commercial awareness and ability to manage workloads
- Professional and approachable
