Pastoral & Parent Engagement Officer - Liverpool
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pastoral & Parent Engagement Officer to join a specialist SEND provision in Liverpool. This rewarding role focuses on supporting primary-age children (5-11 years) with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
As Pastoral & Parent Engagement Officer, you will work closely with staff, professional teams, children, and families to ensure the best possible outcomes for each pupil. A key part of your role will be to engage families in their child's learning journey, fostering a strong sense of community within the school.

- Develop and deliver bespoke therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Identify families who require additional support and make appropriate referrals to external agencies.
- Work collaboratively with school staff and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to pupil development.
- Support children in overcoming social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, helping them to engage positively in school life.
- Play a proactive role in fostering a positive school culture, creating opportunities to bring the school community together.
- Experience working with children with SEND, particularly SEMH needs.
- Ability to develop and implement targeted interventions to support pupils' emotional well-being.
- A compassionate and resilient approach, with the ability to work effectively in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with families and staff.
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures and the ability to signpost families to relevant support services.
