Senior Engineer (Projects)

1. Carry out feasibility and concept studies, public engagement and consultation, design, inspections, assessments, procurement, construction supervision and project management on a variety of highway, structural, casualty reduction, traffic management, traffic signal and UTC, integrated transport, public transport and civil engineering projects for programmes undertaken by the service on behalf of internal and external clients.
2. To support and advise elected members and MPs as the accountable representatives of the public and other key stakeholders and to support the Principal Engineer in the performance of functions associated with the servicing and other committees, neighbourhood forums and public engagement events.
3. Initiate, develop and promote Local Transport Plan and Community Strategy projects
4. To provide expertise and specialist knowledge in aspects of the following appropriate to

1. Urban traffic control and signal maintenance;
2. Traffic engineering;
3. Highway design;
4. Highway maintenance;
5. Civil and structural engineering; or
6. Street lighting & signs/street furniture illumination.

This is a Full time role on a temporary contract basis.
