Line-leader. Story-spinner. Cue-caller. Comma-corrector.
Are you the kind of person who gets goosebumps during a good monologue and secretly cheers when a student finally nails the difference between “their”, “there” and “they’re”?
We’re on the hunt for a Drama & English Teacher with a flair for the theatrical and a passion for punctuation — someone who can bring Shakespeare to life and help Year 8 write a persuasive speech about why pineapple belongs on pizza.
What you’ll be doing:
- Inspiring students aged 7 to 16 with stories, scripts, and scene-stealing lessons
- Turning classrooms into stages and stages into magic
- Helping shy students find their voices, and chatty ones find their punctuation
- Directing plays, leading workshops, and possibly refereeing a heated debate on which Hogwarts house is best
- Teaching grammar without groans, and drama without drama (well… the bad kind)
You are:
- Part teacher, part director, part motivational speaker
- Fluent in metaphors and stage directions
- The type of person who owns at least one mug with a literary quote
- Ready to jump between Macbeth and creative writing without missing a beat
Bonus points if you:
- Can cry on cue
- Have strong opinions about semicolons
- Aren’t afraid of glitter, improv, or opening night nerves
Final line: If you believe learning should be lively, language should be loved, and every child deserves a standing ovation at some point — then we’ve saved you the starring role.
