These are great opportunities for candidates who are looking to step into healthcare for the first time, or for those who are already in healthcare and want to work for an NHS Trust. Health Care Support Workers play a crucial role in all aspects of care delivery for our patients.
We have Health Care Support Worker roles available within different areas across our teams which include:- Trauma and Orthopaedics
- Diabetes and Endocrinology
- Respiratory
- Acute Surgery
- Integrated Medicine
- Community - you will need to have a full UK driving license and a car for our community based positions and have a minimum of a Level 2 qualification

You will be joining a team of dedicated professionals who you will learn from on the job, we provide training to ensure you have the skills for the role and offer development opportunities to realise your career potential. You will be enrolled onto a health care support worker induction programme held each month, ensuring you feel supported as you take the first steps into your new career.
Please note: most of our wards operate a 24-hour shift rotation across a 7-day service. We are recruiting to full and part time hours, however for the role of a Health Care Support Worker, you will be expected to work shift patterns, unfortunately we are unable to offer set days/working patterns.
The minimum part time hours we recruit to is 23 hours per week. If you are looking for a temporary or fixed term contract, we advise contacting NHS Professionals to apply for bank shifts.
Day shifts typically start at 07:00-19:30 depending on the ward, and night shifts are vice versa.
