Job overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Transport Office Co-Ordinator to support our busy transport and logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth administrative operations within the transport office, handling documentation, coordinating vehicle documentation and providing support to drivers and management.
Main duties of the job- Provide administrative support to the transport and logistics team.
- Prepare and manage transport documentation including delivery notes, manifests, and invoice
- Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and external clients.
- Maintain accurate records of transport and warehouse operations.
- Monitor compliance with transport regulations and company policies.
- Monitor and assist quality management systems.
- Handle incoming calls and emails, resolving queries promptly.
- Update databases and spreadsheets with delivery and transport information.
- File and archive documents in accordance with company policies.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities- Strong organisational and time management skills.

Knowledge of transport regulations and logistics processes (desirable but not essential).Experience using Quality management systems (QMS) is an advantage

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Minimum of 4 GCSE’s, with at least a 4/C in English and maths
- Willing to undergo any educational/development routes necessary to the role
- Computing GCSE is desirable
Knowledge
Essential criteria- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Team player
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Able to influence and sell in ideas at all levels
