We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a real difference in students' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with emotional, social, and mental health challenges.
  • Work closely with teachers and mental health professionals to create a positive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students experiencing difficulties.
  • Help implement personalised support plans for students.
  • Promote positive mental health strategies within the school.
  • Assist in creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Monitor and report student progress and any concerns to relevant staff members.

Requirements:

  • Experience in working with children or young people, especially those with mental health challenges.
  • A genuine passion for supporting mental health and well-being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and supportive in challenging situations.
  • A willingness to work as part of a team and adapt to the needs of the students.
  • Any relevant qualifications or training in mental health, psychology, or SEN (Special Educational Needs) would be advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
