AWS Lead Business Analyst
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our dynamic team, driving requirements for digital technologies, with a strong focus on AWS and Agile methodologies. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that our projects align with strategic objectives and deliver maximum value.
Responsibilities
  • Elicit and Analyze Requirements:
o Gather and document detailed business requirements from stakeholders, including users, subject matter experts, and management.
o Analyze and prioritize requirements to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
o Create user stories, use cases, and other artifacts to define functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Process Mapping:
o Develop and maintain process diagrams and workflows to document current and future state processes.
o Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
  • Solution Design:
o Collaborate with technical teams to design and develop solutions that meet business requirements and align with AWS best practices.
o Ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
  • Agile Delivery:
o Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
o Manage the product backlog and prioritize requirements.
o Ensure alignment between business goals and Agile delivery practices.
  • Stakeholder Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
o Communicate effectively and proactively with stakeholders to manage expectations and address concerns.
Qualifications
  • Strong experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in the UK public sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital technologies and their application in public sector environments.
  • Expertise in AWS cloud services and their use in delivering digital solutions.
  • Proven experience in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with data analysis and business intelligence tools.
  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles.
  • Experience with project management methodologies.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: £26,251.85-£52,080.05 per year

Experience:

  • AWS: 8 years (preferred)
  • Business analysis: 10 years (preferred)
