EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: Blackburn
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Start Date: December 2024
Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 per hour
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a thriving primary school located in Blackburn. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual passionate about supporting the development of young learners in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons tailored to the needs of young children.
- Assist with the planning and preparation of learning activities, ensuring all pupils are given opportunities to thrive.
- Work with individuals or small groups of children, providing targeted support to aid their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Encourage and nurture positive behaviour, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the observation and assessment of pupils, helping to monitor progress and identify areas for development.
- Support with classroom management, setting up resources and creating an inspiring learning environment.
- Assist with outdoor learning and play activities, ensuring safety and active participation.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with young children, ideally in an educational or childcare setting.
- Possess a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent).
- Demonstrate a passion for early years education and a commitment to supporting each child's unique development.
- Be a proactive and collaborative team player, with excellent communication skills.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
