Lawrence House is seeking an Experienced Team Leader/Senior Care Worker to join our small team of Care and Support Workers, leading the home for their shift.Working in just one location with no additional travel, this is an ideal role for someone looking to further their career in a nurturing environment.
Regularly described by everyone who visits as "homely", Lawrence House is home for up to 10 adults who have Learning Disabilities, and who we support to live well in their own home.
The Medication Lead will work a variety of shifts to keep our residents active by planning trips in the minibus, picnics in the park, and lots of activities in the home, as well as supervising / leading the team in their daily tasks, and administering medication.
For Existing Team Leaders or Senior Care Staff who are looking to broaden their experience, or Care and Support staff who are looking for promotion, or already working in an existing supervisory role, this is an ideal opportunity. Further career development/progression opportunities are available for suitably experienced candidates.
Full Induction is provided for all new staff.Diploma Level 3 or higher is preferred. For those currently studying their Diploma Level 3 we will be willing to continue the training program.

Team Leader Job Purpose:
Manages and leads a team of employees to deliver person-centred care. Communicates company goals, safety practices, and deadlines to team. Motivates team members and assesses performance. Provides help to management, and keeps management updated on team performance.
Communicates concerns and policies among management and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports Registered Manager and performs management duties when manager is absent or out of office
- Provide High Quality responsive care and support that meets the physical, mental and emotional needs of Service Users.
- Participate in regular reviews of Care Plans, and implement changes to the Care Plan documentation.
- Manages inventories and stock, including keeping detailed records of inventory use, and advising management on ordering where necessary
- Provides encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks
- Assists management with hiring processes and new team member training
- Answers team member questions in line with company policies, helps with team member problems, and oversees team member work for quality and guideline compliance
- Communicates deadlines and care plan goals to team members
- Ensures company materials and physical working spaces meet and exceed Infection Control standards
- Provides quality customer service, including interacting with customers, answering customer enquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints
Team Leadership Experience, Care Knowledge and Industry Experience, IT proficient, Leadership Skills, Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills, Motivational Skills, Results-Oriented, Employee Training Experience, Self-Motivation, Strong Relationship Building.
