Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced therapy assistant to work within the Sherwood Rehabilitation Team, based in the rehab unit at Mansfield Community Hospital.
This will be an superb opportunity to deliver benefits for our patients and the system as a whole. Working in a variety of settings, community and hospital, one to one and groups- this position offers great diversity.
We acknowledge the essential role that the support staff in therapy deliver and this will be a great opportunity for you as an individual to progress and make a difference for our patients.
You will need to be enthusiastic, highly motivated and demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, an ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary working team, with an understanding and experience of holistic assessment, rehabilitation and therapeutic interventions.

Essential criteria- Up to date knowledge of relevant conditions and their therapeutic applications

Qualifications
Essential criteria- NVQ Level III in Care “Diagnostic and Therapeutic Support” award (or equivalent qualification) and substantial experience as a therapy assistant
Further Training
Essential criteria- Counselling skills
- Teaching in a group setting
- Hydrotherapy course
Experience
Essential criteria- Substantial experience as a therapy assistant
- Evidence of CPD/IST
Contractual
Essential criteria- Able to work flexibly including weekends
- Ability to travel between hospital sites
