We are looking for a Programme Manager to join the Capital Development senior leadership team. The post-holder will be required to lead a team of in-house project managers to successfully develop and manage delivery of the capital programme for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT).
A construction professional (RIBA, RICS ICE or similar) with considerable post qualification and PM experience; demonstrate a thorough understanding of development and project delivery in the acute healthcare sector or similar service environment.
This is an exciting time to join us as we grow and develop our in-house Capital Development team.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be required to provide expert construction and technical advice to deliver the capital programme to include a number of high value schemes.
The Programme Manager will be required to support and advise the Deputy Director of Capital Development and other senior managers, in the physical delivery of the BHT Capital Programme in line with agreed project and Trust governing service objectives, so as to achieve long term benefits to patients, staff and clinical service delivery.

Education, Qualifications & Training
Essential criteria- Degree/Diploma ideally with key competencies in construction and contract management or equivalent experience
- Diploma/Qualification in Project Management
Experience
Essential criteria- Experience of a variety of project planning and programming techniques
- Proven expertise to lead, plan, manage, interact with colleagues and deliver projects successfully in a spirit of cooperation
- NHS/Healthcare project delivery experience
Skills, Abilities & Knowledge
Essential criteria- Clear aptitude to engage with internal and external stakeholders and service providers and business partners to proactively manage the utility and value of the estate
- Ability to seek and share information and ideas in a confident and compelling manner, using a range of techniques to achieve an effective outcome
- High level of written communication and analytical skills
- Ability to train and teach others and act as workplace mentor in construction project management and general professional development
