Teaching Personnel is working alongside a fabulous special education school in Croydon who are seeking an experienced KS1 ASD Teacher to join their team!
We are currently seeking a passionate, enthusiastic and motivated ASD Class Teacher who has experience in either an MLD or SLD learning environment.
The school is a warm and welcoming learning environment who pride themselves on being 'one big happy family' and are seeking a member of staff who fits in with this.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a creative classroom teacher with a real passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate learning and development alongside other members of teaching staff, SLT, medical and therapy staff.
- Have a positive and uplifting attitude about pupil's abilities.
Requirements:
- Hold QTS, a PGCE or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs in schools.
- Have a thorough understanding of SEN (ASD, MLD and SLD)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
- Ability to adapt to different learning environments and work collaboratively within a team.
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain)
