The Role
This role sits in the Energy Economics team. This team is responsible for Pricing, Forecasting, Energy Risk Management, and Performance Management.
In this role you be accountable for:
- Understanding Forecasting Costs - Analyse and forecast non-commodity costs
- Regulatory and Policy Updates - Monitor and stay current with regulatory updates and policy changes impacting the Energy sector
- Data Collection and Analysis - Collect data from various sources to support cost forecasting
- Reporting and Presentation - Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, summarising key findings and forecast outcomes
- Collaboration and Communication - Work closely with Data, Finance, Regulatory and Operation departments
- Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities for process improvements in cost forecasting and modeling

Requirements:
- Educational Background - Bachelor's degree in Policy, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a relation field
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software and databases
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as SQL, Power BI, or similar
- Industry Knowledge - Comprehensive understanding of the UK Energy market, including regulatory and policy frameworks
- Analytical Skills
- Communication Skills
- 2+ years of Energy retail experience
