Staff Nurse - Gynaecology
Job overview
Women's Outpatients Department at Saint Mary's Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a staff nurse, full time role for 37.5 hours a week and a part time staff nurse 35.5 hours per week.
You will work within a large team covering specialties such as Reproductive Medicine, Benign Gynaecology, Uro-Gynaecology and Oncology. With training, you will provide care for women undergoing outpatient gynaecological procedures such as hysteroscopy and colposcopy.
To join us, you will be a Registered Nurse with valid registration on the appropriate part of the NMC register and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be able to support and contribute to a team approach, have excellent time management skills, manage own work load, have the ability to problem solve, analyse and resolve issues.In addition to this, you’ll be motivated to develop personally and professionally and have exemplary personal standards of conduct.
Gynaecological experience is an advantage but not essential as full training in Hysteroscopy and Colposcopy clinics will be given.
Main duties of the job
You will need to assist in clinics; Hysteroscopy, Colposcopy, Cancer Exclusion clinics, Repromedicine, Miscarriage clinics, Menopause clinic, Urodynamics, Anorectal studies , Urogynaecology clinics & many other clinics.
You will be required to cover recovery at times and prepare patients for their procedure. You will also be required to delegate duties to junior staff members and maintain patient safety.
