SEN Teaching Assistant - Year 3

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with special educational needs in a Year 3 classroom.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities, ensuring all pupils can access the curriculum.
• Implement and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support pupil progress.
• Monitor and record progress, offering feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.

• A minimum of 1 year's experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, preferably in Key Stage 2 (KS2).
• Proven ability to support children with a range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning and well-being.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the classroom.

• A relevant qualification in education or special educational needs.
• Experience with specific interventions such as phonics programs or social communication strategies.
