THE ROLE:
Key Responsibilities- Produce High-Quality Reports: Lead the creation and delivery of comprehensive Market Analytics program reports and datasets, integral to the long-standing Markets and Profitability subscriber programs from NexantECA’s Insights business.
- Program Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, ensure resources allocated effectively, and oversee the performance of assigned staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all agreed-upon reports.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the assigned Market Analytics team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Revenue Enhancement: Collaborate with business development teams to identify opportunities and strategies to increase program revenues.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, consulting staff, and other Insights program leads, to ensure alignment on program goals and deliverables, and to gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Requirements
Skills and Experience:
- Industry: Clear understanding of the global petrochemical industry and commodity industry behaviours from a market volume perspective, including clear views on what is driving petrochemical usage and who is currently and will in the future be active producing petrochemicals.
- Market Analysis: At least 5 years’ experience in responsible role leading research on global commodity markets, with a strong understanding of the value and use of the information at client organisations.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Data Analysis and Visualization: Expertise in using data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, PowerBI etc) to interpret complex datasets and present findings in a clear, actionable manner.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences, including clients and senior management.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically about market trends and their implications for the business, and to develop long-term outlooks that reflect these opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills to support business development teams in maintaining strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and their feedback is incorporated into program improvements.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and client requirements, and to pivot strategies as needed to achieve program goals.
The above skill set is expected to be reflected in a strong academic performance to at least bachelor’s degree level in a numerate discipline.
