We have an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to develop their knowledge and skills in Cancer Services. You will be supported by a team of experienced Pharmacists working to provide chemotherapy to patients across east Kent.

You will work with our Oncology and Haematology Pharmacists as well as the Aseptic Production Unit and Dispensary teams to ensure chemotherapy is supplied safely and appropriately.

Main duties of the job

To provide clinical pharmacy input into the oncology/haematology prescriptions generated from Chemotherapy Units across the Trust.

To support the Aseptics Unit in supplying systemic anticancer and clinical trials medical products.

To identify risk management issues and develop safe systems of practice within the chemotherapy units.

Essential criteria
  • Post registration hospital experience showing clinical experience within various environments
Desirable criteria
  • Demonstrate experience in a full range of clinical specialities

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Can demonstrate ‘usually’ or ‘consistently’ levels of competence for the majority of General/ Foundation Level Framework

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of core pharmaceutical needs of patients in various clinical settings.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • 4 year Master’s degree in Pharmacy from a UK School of Pharmacy or equivalent as recognised by The General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain
