About the Role

We’re seeking a dedicated Compliance Manager to lead critical initiatives, including the implementation of updates to the Single Code of Conduct for Private Parking Enforcement and the oversight of all internal compliance and audit processes.

This role is pivotal in ensuring our operations align with industry regulations and best practices, supporting both external and internal standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Single Code of Conduct Implementation
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive plan to update and implement the Single Code of Conduct.
  • Ensure all changes align with IPC standards and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, industry partners, and external bodies to ensure smooth integration of updates.
  1. Internal Compliance and Audits
  • Lead the implementation, and maintenance of internal compliance frameworks.
  • Manage internal audits to identify and address compliance risks, ensuring alignment with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct audits with regulatory bodies, including the DVLA and other relevant organisations, to ensure full compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Develop and update policies, procedures, and training programs to promote ongoing compliance.
  1. Industry Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, the IPC, and other industry partners.
  • Facilitate consultations and meetings gather input and feedback for project and compliance initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  1. Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
  • Stay informed about industry developments, legislative changes, and IPC guidance.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on progress, risks, and key regulatory changes.
  1. Risk Management
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to compliance, regulations, and operations.
  • Ensure all changes and internal processes are legally compliant and protect the organization from potential sanctions or reputational harm.
  1. Project Delivery & Execution
  • Oversee the implementation of compliance changes, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Work with operational teams to integrate regulatory updates into systems, policies, and training.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and ensure adherence to deadlines and project milestones.
  1. Communication & Reporting
  • Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership and communicate changes effectively across all levels of the organization.
  1. Training & Support
  • Develop training materials and resources for staff and external partners to ensure compliance with updated policies.
  • Lead training sessions, workshops, and guidance initiatives to promote awareness and understanding of compliance standards.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Proven experience in compliance.
  • Background in project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage audits and internal compliance programs.

Skills:

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving expertise and the ability to manage risks and resolve challenges.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with parking technology systems and software.
  • Familiarity with the Single Code of Conduct and its impact on parking enforcement practices.
  • Strong understanding of private parking enforcement regulations and IPC guidelines
  • Experience within the private parking sector.
