We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Research Midwife to join the Women’s Health Research team at University College London Hospital (UCLH). The role is to co-ordinate and support the progress of the innovative Placental monitoring study.

This is an observational study of a new wearable monitoring device that has been developed by UCL engineers to detect changes in placental function by monitoring the oxygen saturation and metabolism.

The post holder will oversee and co-ordinate the day to day research activities including identifying, contacting and arranging study visits, as well as conducting qualitative work and PPIE activities. You will work closely with the Chief investigator, research fellows, engineers, trial manager and clinical teams to ensure the study is delivered to time and target and produces reliable results.

The post holder will also support regulatory submissions and oversee the safety and conduct of the study.

This is a fixed term role, currently until the end of January 2026, but with the potential for an extension subject to further funding and the study achieving specific milestones.

The role requires an experienced Midwife with prior knowledge of clinical research delivery in Reproductive Health/Women’s health. Essential requirements include GCP training, experience of study co-ordination, excellent communication skills both written and verbal, ability to work on own initiative working autonomously and as part of a multi - professional team.
