Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant

My client is an established local Suffolk company who is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant to join their finance department located near Gt Blakenham, Ipswich. Under 30-minute commute from Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Eye directions.
Your new role
Working as part of a supportive finance team, this will be a varied role, responsible for the purchase ledger function, alongside supporting with other areas of accounts.- Purchase ledger management: Processing invoices, matching POs, supplier query resolution and ensuring timely payments to suppliers.
- Bank reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Stock reconciliations: Assist with stock reconciliations and inventory management
- Sales ledger: Assist with sales ledger activities during peak times and holiday periods
- Management accounts: Assist with month-end processes and reporting
What you'll need to succeed
You will be AAT Qualified or have equivalent experience with a proven track record in a similar role and strong technical accounting knowledge. A detail-oriented and proactive approach will be essential.
What you'll get in returnGenerous starting salary £32000 - £36000
