Role & Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the entire goods in/out process to ensure accurate and timely receipt and dispatch of goods.
- To lead the warehouse team ensuring that all operational systems and health & that all warehouse activities comply with health and safety regulations and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of goods and materials.
- Maintain oversight of the stores area, including external yard area, finished goods warehouse and raw material stores.
- Manage and develop a team of Warehouse Operatives, Yard & Warehouse operative and team leader.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and champion 5S activities in the area.
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain stock accuracy reporting.
- Participate in and actively promote the company's CIP (continuous improvement program) looking for ways to continually improve the way we work and to reduce waste.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- The successful candidate will come from a warehouse and logistics management background.
- Experience within FMCG or the plastics industry would be beneficial, as well
- Experience managing teams of warehouse staff.
- Health and safety focussed.
- Previous experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
