We are recruiting for an assistant centre manager to join our team of shift managers.
We are currently undergoing a period of transformation and an exciting opportunity has arisen for someone that possesses the necessary skillset to strengthen our team of managers.
The role is varied and as such you will need to be flexible in your approach to work and on a day-to-day shift basis and demonstrate that you can prioritise the needs of the customer whilst being responsible for the team of staff that are under your supervision.
In addition, you will be able to strengthen your skills and knowledge by taking on an area of the business that will further develop you as an individual and ultimately aid your career progression.
Some of the tasks that you could be involved in are:
staff development and trainingwriting policies and procedures
monitoring staff rotas that meet the needs of the service and correlate with programmed activities such as swimming, swimming lessons, gymnastics and trampoline sessionsThe successful candidate will devise new and innovative ways of working that will enhance the customer experience, contribute to income growth in specific areas such as increasing general bookings through marketing, promotions and social media, increasing school holiday provision, increased membership and retention ideas.
You will need to demonstrate that you have the aptitude to recognise efficiencies whilst maintaining a high-quality service to all. Ideally, you will be National Pool Lifeguard Qualified, hold a current first aid qualification, have knowledge of pool plant operation and have a sound knowledge of health and safety that is relative to the leisure industry.
The base for this post will either be Staveley Healthy Living Centre or Queen's Park Sports Centre.
The successful candidate will be subject to a disclosure carried out by the The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB).
