Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Band 6 Community Occupational Therapist to join East Cheshire NHS Trust. The role involves providing high-quality Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment to patients with diverse health needs within a community setting.You will act as an autonomous clinician, using analytical skills and clinical reasoning to diagnose conditions and create tailored treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments and deliver treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Act independently to provide clinical care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient management.
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals and external agencies to integrate community care effectively.
- Support and mentor junior colleagues, contributing to team development and ensuring high standards of practice.
- Manage a caseload efficiently, prioritising and adapting treatment plans as required.
Key Requirements:
- Post-registration experience relevant to this specialist area, evidenced by CPD.
- Strong knowledge of recent NHS legislation and healthcare priorities.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and under pressure while maintaining a high standard of care.
- Experience in leading junior staff and making clinical decisions.
- NHS experience in both physical and mental health fields across various rotations.
