About the role of Senior Design Manager
Due to new contract award, there is an opportunity for an experienced Design Manger to join a leading tier 1 building contractor on the design & build of a large innovative leisure & stadium project in the North West.
This is a fast growing region which can offer excellent career prospects and development opportunities over the next few years in to senior leadership.
Responsibilities for Senior Design Manager- Take the lead responsibility on the management & delivery of design information from preconstruction to delivery on site working to contractual & programme & delivery schedule.
- Provide technical expertise to assess, mitigate and manage risk regarding design & financial risks during construction
- Attending and chairing design meetings
- Ensuring design & delivery meet health and safety legislation and building standards.
- Background and proven track record as a Design Manager working for a principal contractor and within industrial, stadium, leisure or commercial projects.
- An architectural background (ARB/RIBA qualified or Technologist)
- Ideally a background within a main contractor environment with responsibility for design fee/budget management, client reporting, and coordination through delivery
- Some previous line management experience
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage varying stakeholders effectively
- Salary & Package on offer
- Base Salary £75k - £85k (dependent on level / skills)
