We have an exciting opportunity to join Capgemini as an Onsite Engineer in our End User Experience (EUE) department, supporting a broad span of high-profile clients in our vast portfolio. At Capgemini we pride ourselves on our people because we know they are the heart of what we do.

This role is fully onsite 5 days a week in Barrow in Furness.

Your role

Joining our dedicated End User Experience team, you will:

  • Possess 2nd line responsibility for resolving incidents to SLA
  • Be responsible for the completion of assigned works within allocated timeframes
  • Undertake NSR tasks to agreed timescales
  • Proactively communicate and coordinate with Level 3 teams to highlight major level issues
  • Find resolution of technical issues for laptop/desktop hardware, networks, printers, etc.

Your skills and experience
  • An in-depth knowledge and good understanding of Microsoft Windows OS (Windows 11 & Windows 10), including build, configuration and registry settings is required, along with a level of proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Basic level understanding in SCCM/Active Directory and a working knowledge of IT service models
  • Networks experience to include an understanding of LAN/WAN/vLAN and Wi-Fi technologies, DHCP, DNS/WINS, PXE and VPN/remote connectivity
  • An appreciation of the Microsoft Exchange environment, email client configuration, MS Outlook, instant messaging tools, along with general etiquette
  • Computer peripherals - including but not limited to printers (including MFD's), display screens, docking stations, port replicators, cameras and scanners

Your security clearance

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.

To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.

Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality. Some posts are restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons; therefore, you may be asked about your citizenship in the application process.
